Aside from the facial rigging for expressions the base rig from head to toe has not changed, so most of it works as expected. Pose Fusion is a new pose interface that allows you to Adjust, Reset, and Mirror any part of the figure with ease. It’s possible that a script could be written which isolates and eliminates any head-based pose targets that aren’t the lower neck, upper neck, and head. As for scripting, the rigging for the face in 8.1 is completely different, so there’s no way to just “convert” an expression except to attempt to mimic them on a case-by-case basis. In my testing I’ve found that many Genesis 8.1 poses work just fine (for example, Muscleman’s “Strong Love” poses for Genesis 8.1 works). This is also why scripts for geografts or geoshells which explicitly referenced Genesis 8 names had some issues until vendors updated those products. Go to People:Genesis 8 Female:Poses:sagittarius a:So. Example for pose 01: Load 'Bird' and 'Bird 2' props from here: People:Genesis 8 Female:Poses:sagittarius a:So Fine:Props: Load Happy Bunny figure from here: Props:Happy Bunny:Happy Bunny.png. You should apply these poses, as on examples below. Whether or not Genesis 8.1 content will work on Genesis 8 figures depends entirely upon if it includes expressions or if there is any scripting that uses explicit naming conventions for Genesis 8.1 features. Applying poses for Genesis 8, and for any Props. The short answer: Some poses will work and some won’t.
